In 2001, Lorraine Gaudet opened A Good Yarn on a tree-shaded street in historic Fells' Point. The row house, shop, and-workshop has become the meeting place for knitters - beginners and beyond - throughout the area.
Come visit "A Good Yarn" for supplies, ideas, patterns, inspiration, lessons, and even a great cup of tea and interesting conversation.
"A Good Yarn" features cotton, wool, and alpaca yarns, hand spun all-naturals, colorful children's yarns, distinctive detail yarns for throws, knitting needles, notions, patterns, and much more.
Classes at "A Good Yarn" range from beginning steps to advanced projects and are always changing. Check out our class list and calendar for more information.
We are here for you from Wednesday through Sunday, 10:00 am to 7:00pm. Call for holiday hours and inclement weather emergencies. We look forward to seeing you soon!
